Board Members
The Board consists of five (5) members who are appointed by the Governor, by and with the consent of the Senate. Four of the members are experienced registered and licensed dietitians and one member is a lay person.
OFFICERS OF THE BOARD AND THEIR RESPONSIBILITIES
CHAIRMAN - The Chairman is elected every year to preserve order and conduct all proceedings by parliamentary rules and demand conformity thereto by members, appoint all committees and sign required documents.
VICE-CHAIRMAN - The Vice-Chairman is elected every year to act as Chairman in the absence of the Chairman and calls special meeting of the Board by joint action with the Chairman.
TREASURER - is elected every year to maintain all financial records to be in compliance with the requirements of the State of West Virginia.
SECRETARY - is elected every year to maintain the office, the preservation of records and preparation of documents, licenses, reports, etc. The Secretary signs documents as determined by the Board, at the request of the Chairman.
LAYPERSON - is meant to represent the citizens of the State of West Virginia in all actions of the Board.
